Destructive Revolution

Destructive Revolution

Every revolution in the human history has had terrific or indecent effects on the life of people who had been living in that country. Sometimes, it’s a great influence on the people’s lives, culture and everything related to the country as economy and politic. Nobody can ignore the effects of Indian revolution in the time of Gandi. That was a sample of a constructive revolution in the history. Every single Indian had a share of this great rebellion and then they started to create their own country in their own way with no need for other countries like England. In the other hand, some revolutions could be more destructive than being useful and helpful for their population. I’m proud to be a Persian and there is no doubt about how much I like my country but I have to admit that most of the population of Iran are regretful of what they have done thirty years ago in 1979. That was the second enormous revolution after the Indian revolution in the 20th century. Unfortunately, Iran revolution has stopped the improvement of the different industries instead of speeding up the progress of those industries and also create new industries and getting more close to the first world countries. There are three different bad results of the revolution which all the persian people believe that they should have not been like that.
First of all, so many families left the country and moved to the Europe and North America. It was because of just religion. People with different religions as Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Bahai and many other religions used to live together in Iran without any serious problem in their lives and there was no difference between them in the country. It sounds stupid but after the revolution, most of those people except Muslims were not free to live in the way they wanted to. For example, some religious people had not right to go to university and have academic education. Some of them were not free to do their traditional events or worships. Consequently, So many wealthy families left the Country and started to live in one of the European countries like France, England, Italy, Germany or some of them moved to United States and Canada. Furthermore, it has still continued and even after thirty years many Persian are moving out of Iran and they believe they would have better opportunities in other countries than their own country.
Second bad effect could be the families’ lives career path. Many Persian were students and had been studying during the revolution and because of the revolution and the new law in Iran, they preferred to stay in foreign countries and start their career in the other countries. In addition, some people like my parents were students in the U.S. and after meeting each other in the U.S., they had been planning to go back to Iran and get married and come back to the U.S. and start their life here but they couldn’t come back and got stock in Iran because the U.S. embassy was occupied by the protesters. However, if my parents were able to come back to the U.S., their life might was different and better than their life now.
The last effect of the revolution is the educational system. The whole system of the education in the middle and high schools and universities were completely changed. So many majors were cut off of the system just because of the stupid religion reasons. Before the revolution, best of the universities in the world used to recognize the Iran universities’ degrees and those universities were so famous and dependable. In contrast, after the revolution, universities were going down in the ranking of the best universities in the world and it can be one of the destructive effects of the revolution. Imagine, if all the Persian educated and professors in all over the world were able to work together in their own country. Later, Iran could be one of the best countries in the world.
In conclusion, I hope it’s going to be all right. Iranians are getting this knowledge that they should try to solve these problems and it’s getting obvious for the other countries especially after the several protests in 2009 and 2010. People are getting tired and sick of the government and they believe that the government didn’t keep their promises. After winning in the revolution in 1979, they have been stealing from the natural sources in Iran as oil, gold and other mines without any spending the taxes and the wealth for the population. I’m sure that every single Persian would have tried and prayed for changing and it would be better after a while.

  1. Revolution are very hard. How did you managed to come in the US if your parents were not allowed to come back?
