                                                   Shuttling

Losing memories is not going to let me forget events that I have had. Everyone told me that I would be happy in the U S. At the same time, there were so many kinds of pictures running through my mind and passing in front of my eyes. When I am in foreign country (United Stated) . Flying back to China might let me feel much better, but who knows. If I go to China, would life be easy there? I shuttle between my old memory and the real world. As I attempt to fit into the U.S.

My families are always been a part of my life. Getting families together can be sweet as candy and bitter as a melon. I remember that there was a sweet and perfect trip during a sunny summer five years ago in China. When my family took a vacation to Hang Zhou City, we had a good time, got along well and always solved every thing together .If a problem came up, we always talked to each other. However, now I am losing conversation with my family right now in the U S. Maybe my family is busy as bitter bees who work so hard that they do not have time to take care of their children and talk to each other. Like robots. They are concerned with lot things including: rent, insurance and medical care that something surround us .This new life seems to challenge me.

My hometown meals used to be my company during the day. Dim sum always give me an abundant power when I was in China. I really love to eat dim sum and drink tea at breakfast time. I appreciate dim sum’s craft how the chef makes them look so nice and fascinated. It could make me feel starving if I see dim sum on my table while I was coming back home. Actually, dim sum is health and nutritious food in the world. On the other hand, I have not gotten accustomed to eating American breakfast that tastes so sweet, creamy and salty for me. I remember last week, I bought some cakes from Dominicks with enthusiastic disposition, but when I ate, it tastes so strange. Afterward, I realized that American chef used to fire potatoes and meats as general cooking step in U.S.I am also losing my taste now.

Finally, birth day party is also an important day of my life. I have always enjoyed that day because birth day party could give a bunch of events to me. For example, I could hang out with my friends and my parents also allow me stay out late, so I could have much fun that day. My friends and I always got together and went to entertainment room, inside we play dice, sang songs and drank some beer , but all that has changed since I came to the U.S.I did not cerebrate my birth day anymore. Maybe I do not have good friends that I can count on. I think that best friends are not easy to have. I hope that I will get bosom friends as soon as. Missing birth day parties are also losing now.

In conclusion, although living in U.S is not easy, I realize that I can overcome it. I have full feeling that I can become fluent into my new world. The time tells me that families are always my heroes. Meals are not going to take me down. Birth day could be every day for me if I want. Life is a miracle. So that I can enjoy shuttling in my miracle.

I agree with you, flying back to China is better for visiting not only. Even our parents work so hard in the US to make money to support our family, it definately make our life easier to live. as a result of this, we can have a better education. BUt in china, have you ever dream one day you can have your dream car? NO....not in China, but do in the US.

  2. I know that we miss lot of thing when we come here. As a French person trust me the food in America can appear some time as very bad. I would love to have a real French meal.

  4. The second image makes me hungry. I love those foods. When we settle down in a new country, we definitely miss our won country very much. There are lot of things deserve us to think back. There are many people think we would have a lot of opportunities for development in the new country. I think all foreigners might struggle with the new country and their own country.

  8. Reading you essay reminds me that next semester I will take Chinese class. And while I was reading I felt more curious to know what is dim sum or know how it tastes and how is it like to go to Hang Zhou City with family in vacation. I guess those are things that I will never know with the same feeling as you, but I'm very curious in know more about it. I really liked you essay, but I think you could write a better ending (conclusion).
